To teach trainees how to effectively use Google alerts to curate information. To teach trainees how to use Google trends to compare and analyze data.

Google Alerts is a service that generates search engine results, based on criteria provided by you, and delivers the results to your e-mail account. The service sends emails to the user when it finds new results—such as web pages, newspaper articles, blogs, or scientific research—that match the user's search term(s)

This service is useful for many reasons, such as

Monitoring the web for specific information about your company, your kids, your online content's popularity or your competition. You can also use it to keep up to date with new advancements, celebrity gossip or current trends.

To teach trainees steps to compose, send and reply emails. To teach trainees how to arrange mails in folder and use labels to distinguish mails To teach trainees how to search for mails in a Gmail box To teach trainees how to add signature to an email

Official release date: April 1, 2004

Storage capacity: 15 gigabytes

Active users: 1 Billion monthly users

Users can receive emails up to 50 megabytes in size, including attachments, while they can send emails up to 25 megabytes. In order to send larger files, users can insert files from Google Drive into the message
